It's one of those projects that the teacher gives a million marks for and makes it count for everything: oral, writing, reading, etc.

Thanks for all your suggestions!Gabbihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15632824763024999543noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4646003446271201170.post-79498718016779399732008-10-16T00:13:00.000-07:002008-10-16T00:13:00.000-07:00What class is this for? Going through my own blog reviews (because I wasn't familiar with anything I saw on yours), I'd recommend:

Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson (one of my all-time faves) or Catalyst or Twisted by the same author. Don't read Catalyst if you haven't read Speak.

Such a Pretty Girl was okay.

Oh, I know! Anything by Chris Crutcher! My favorites (so far) are Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes, Chinese Handcuffs, & Whale Talk.

I have 18 posts with a teen label, 8 with a YA label (with some overlap), if you want to venture over to take a look. Soon to be more, though maybe not soon enough for you.Jenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07832420356107544084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4646003446271201170.post-77383848572593968952008-10-15T09:48:00.000-07:002008-10-15T09:48:00.000-07:00Hey again! I just read 'Never Let Me Go' by Kazuo Ishiguro, which I found quite interesting, and could definitely be discussed in a report. It's about 3 kids at an English boarding school, told by one of the students in hindsight. The author also wrote 'Remains of the Day' fyi. Hope you like whatever book you choose!alexgirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06326851585171149165noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4646003446271201170.post-50817957866604641682008-10-14T16:35:00.000-07:002008-10-14T16:35:00.000-07:00One book that I love and suggest to everybody is S...One book that I love and suggest to everybody is Such a Pretty Girl by Laura Wiess; it's about girl, Meredith, who's father molested her as a child and is out of jail early and back in her life again. I can't even count how many times I've read this book, and I still can't get over how amazing it is. I mean, even if you don't choose it for your report I'd suggest that you still read it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4646003446271201170.post-61705677109622491572008-10-14T14:39:00.000-07:002008-10-14T14:39:00.000-07:00LOVE LOVE LOVE Criminal Minds! Code Talker: A Novel About the Navajo Marines of World War Two
by Joseph Bruchac or Blizzard's Wake
by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor or All We Know of Heaven: A Novel by Jacquelyn Mitchard or The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. But my top recommendation would be My Sisters Keeper by Jodi Picoult or Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult, or some others of her books.

All books above are 5/5 stars and are favorites of mine.

Also, let us know what book you end of picking!Kelseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10236142723718937228noreply@blogger.com
